The Church is True

So I am so ashamed to say that we had not been to the temple since Jay was born. Every single time we planned to go, something came up. We were getting so tired of setting a time and date and having it fall through. Finally we put our foot down and said were going to go no matter what happened. I made sure I was ready to go early and had everything packed and in the car so far in advance. We were going to leave right when Matt got home from work. I heard the garage door open and it took Matt way to long to walk in the door. I looked outside and saw him messing with our main water line. I told him we were in a hurry and that we needed to go right then. He had this look on his face that was so sad and just pointed to our lawn. Yup, our entire brand new front yard went from being nice and flat to a nice grand canyon through the middle. The middle of the yard just sunk a foot! There was water all over the place. I knew again the adversary was trying to prevent us from going to the temple YET AGAIN! I said, who cares, get in the car, we are going to make it! We turned off the water to the house and left the mess so we could go to the temple. I truly believe that Saten does all he can to keep us from the temple. It is just so peaceful there. So, to make things even better, when we picked Jay up from Matt's sisters house, Jay had a reaction to his food and his whole face and body swelled up. ( Not your fault Allison and we love you!) It didn't matter at all because we had made it to the temple finally and it was so worth it! So here are some lovely pictures of our new and improved canyon in our yard and Matt digging a HUGE hole to fix the broken water pipe. But since then, we have had an offer on our spec house! I hope it goes though!I just love this picture! Ono is so good with Jay!

I am so with you on this! We have not been for so long either, and it's the same thing, I forget my recomend, or then it expired, there is always another excuse. I am so excited for the Twin Falls Temple to be open (next month!) I am going to go whenever I can to make up for all the times we missed. But I have to tell you mandi, it truly is hard to go when you have kids, and you just have to do the best you can. There really is a time and place for everything. I am so proud of you guys for going though! You are awesome! Sorry about such a long post.
